Anna E. Finn Vinson began practicing law in 2009 with Finn & Finn, Ltd., a firm founded by Newton E. Finn, Anna’s father.
Newton had practiced law in Lake County, Illinois for more than 40 years and had been at the forefront of community efforts to protect Waukegan neighborhoods from blight and decay during the 1990s and early 2000’s, later moving his community focus to urban gardening, local food production, and sustainable development. From 2009-2013, Mr. Finn was honored to serve as Corporation Counsel for the City of Waukegan, and it was at this time that Anna, a recent law school graduate, joined the firm to assist him in meeting the city’s legal needs. After its service as Corporation Counsel, Finn & Finn, Ltd. again broadened its areas of law practice and began representing clients in both Illinois and Wisconsin. Although Mr. Finn has now retired from the practice of law, his legacy lives on in Anna E. Finn Vinson's continuing work in the firm of Finn & Vinson, LLC, concentrated in the areas of real estate, tax deeds, and estate planning.
