Joseph Finn joined Finn & Finn, Ltd as a Paralegal in 2016, pursuing his lifelong passion for social justice and service to his community. As a graduate of Lake Forest College, class of 2010, Joseph double-majored in political science and religion. Taking several years of graduate courses thereafter at the Chicago Theological Seminary, he focused his study on the intersections and conflicts between philosophy, political theory, and theology.

The son of Newton E. Finn, retired Partner of Finn & Finn and ordained minister, and brother of Anna E. Finn Vinson, Joseph developed an interest in both law and religion and the relationship between the ethical and the juridical. Joseph works primarily in the area of real estate law but also provides general legal support, including investigation and research, for cases handled by both Anna E. Finn Vinson and her partner, Amy Lynn Lonergan.

Having lived in Waukegan, Illinois his whole life, Joseph maintains strong roots to the community and volunteers his time to nonprofit gardening organizations, which provide fresh, healthy produce to struggling families while teaching sustainable practices and respect for the environment.

Bringing both passion and commitment to the Finn & Finn team, Joseph embodies the firm’s long-standing dedication to serving clients, improving the community, and working for the cause of justice.
